Senior & Intermediate Civil Engineers – Tauranga

This is your opportunity to become part of the team at one of New Zealand’s leading Engineering Consultancies. We are actively recruiting both Senior and Intermediate Land Development Engineers to join the consultancy’s Tauranga team.

The team is very busy and currently working on a number of high-profile residential and industrial subdivision projects across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato.

Responsibilities in this role include, preparing project proposals, project management, concept and detailed design for all aspects of subdivision design including bulk earthworks, erosion/sediment control, drainage, roading, water supply, common services etc. You will also complete reporting for consent and engineering approval applications. A working understanding of bulk civil infrastructure (e.g., bulk mains, pump stations etc) would be advantageous.

Working alongside some the consultancy’s key clients, you’ll provide high quality technical inputs and advice to support desired project outputs. You will also be responsible for liaising with other key stakeholders such as Councils and partner organisations.

Senior Engineers will also be given the opportunity to get involved with the mentoring and coaching of junior staff, with the opportunity to develop into a future Team Leader.

Geotechnical Team Leader – Auckland North Shore

This employee-owned multi-disciplined Engineering Consultancy is recruiting a new leader for their small Geotechnical Engineering team based on Auckland North Shore.

The Geotechnical team is a small team of four experienced engineers. This Team Leader role would suit a Senior Engineer keen to step up into a lead level role.  Reporting directly to the Geotechnical Engineering Director, the successful candidate will have the freedom to grow and develop the team, and to develop relationships with new clients, in line with the continued expansion and growth of the consultancy.

The team is currently involved in a number of projects including:

  • Foundations (shallow foundations, ground screws, cast in situ concrete piles etc., settlement analysis).
  • Land development projects ranging from small to large scale subdivisions for private and commercial developers plus HNZ developments.
  • Retaining structures.
  • Construction monitoring (subgrade inspection, fill compaction, settlements).
  • Landslide remediation/mitigation.
  • Ground improvement.
  • Retail buildings, commercial developments.
  • On-site wastewater disposal investigations and reporting.

MDRS are currently working with a market leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in their search for a new Structural Engineering Team Leader to be based in Christchurch.

This a brand new position that has been created to work closely with the Structural Manager and another Structural Team Leader who are both also based in Christchurch.

About the role
