The civil engineering team are know looking to add civil design engineers to it’s Hamilton office. They are currently looking for Junior, Intermediate and Senior level applicants.

These roles are open to engineers from either a 12D or Civil 3D background with the company willing to offer ongoing training to engineers who are keen to develop their skills on either package.

Engineers will also be offered the chance to work on smaller land development projects and gain full project exposure keeping their day to day duties interesting and varied.

Suitable engineers will be civil engineering degree qualified with experience of working on land development projects in either New Zealand or Australia.

Civil Engineer – Senior – Land/Urban Development

Brand new Senior level Civil Engineer position available in Auckland CBD.

This Senior Civil Engineer role would offer the opportunity to work for a well known and highly regarded consultancy which has offices based in both Auckland and Christchurch and a workforce of over 80 staff across the civil engineering, structural engineering and surveying sectors.

The business is currently undergoing a period of growth and is able to offer excellent ongoing career development and progression opportunities to ambitious engineers.  The civil engineering division is currently involved a wide range of projects across the land development, urban design, shared spaces, 3 waters, earthworks and roading projects.

The candidate;

You will ideally already be working in the NZ engineering sector with 10 years of civil engineering experience since gaining your degree. CPEng would be highly regarded. You will also be a very strong communicator both written and verbally.

Duties will include:

  • Leading the civil design and construction phase of medium and large projects.
  • Engineering calculations, specifications and design documents.
  • Managing clients, design team and contractors.
  • Preparation of reports, contract documentation and technical details.
  • Site monitoring, record keeping and engineer’s representative duties.
  • Mentoring of junior design team members.

Stormwater / Water / Wastewater Engineers – Auckland CBD

Large New Zealand owned engineering consultancy currently looking for Water, Stormwater and Wastewater Engineers – Auckland CB based – Multiple roles available.

Principal Engineer – Civil – Alliance

MDRS are currently working with a market leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in their search for a new Principal Civil Engineer to be based in Auckland CBD. This a brand new role that will offer the chance to be part of a prestigious Alliance programme which will help to re-develop a number of areas within Auckland.

The Alliance programme includes full re-development of number of neighborhoods including – Civil design and construction, removal of old houses, land remediation, arranging consents, earthworks and infrastructure, construction of roads, parks and utilities.

About the role

The Principal Engineer will work closely with the Technical Director in providing technical and management support to the civil engineering team. In practical terms, this means providing technical expertise, quality control, supporting and mentoring junior civil engineering team members.

Key Criteria

Relevant degree/masters qualification in Civil Engineering and ideally CPEng registered engineer.

Proven leadership experience.

Expertise in the use of 12D, AutoCAD and GIS.

Experience of working with local government organisations.

12+ years of NZ based experience, local market knowledge

Ability to provide technical expertise in the design of large land development and civil engineering infrastructure projects.
